The Tempest - AUDITIONS
Auditions for Shakespeare’s magical comedy “The Tempest” will be held on Sunday, July 24th and Monday July 25th. “The Tempest” is usually considered to be Shakespeare’s final play and explores the universal themes of loss, revenge, and forgiveness – all in the framework of a romantic comedy.

Sunday July 24th 2:00pm – 2:30
Sunday July 24th 2:30 – 3:00
Sunday July 24th 3:00 – 3:30
Sunday July 24th 3:30 – 4:00
Monday July 25th 7:00 pm – 7:30
Monday July 25th 7:30 – 8:00
Monday July 25th 8:00 – 8:30
Monday July 25th 8:30 – 9:00
Additional slots may be added if necessary. Details will be posted on the website and on our Facebook page.
Actors will read short monologues and scenes from the script with other actors. Actors interested in reading for Prospero should prepare one of Prospero’s speeches from the play [approx. 12-20 lines of text].
There are roles for a variety of ages -
2 men: Prospero and Ferdinand
1 woman: Miranda
At least 12 roles that may be cast as either men or women: Ariel, Caliban, Alonso, Sebastian, Antonio, Gonzalo, Adrian/Francisco, Stephano, Trinculo, Shipmaster, Boatswain, Mariners, Spirits who enact Iris, Ceres, and Juno. Some of these actors will play more than one part.
