The Government Inspector

​In a small Russian village, the local government officials are in a panic. Rumor has it that a government inspector is on his way to root out corruption. Now it’s every man, woman, and child for themselves as they try to cover their tracks before they all get sent to Siberia.

In this brilliant and powerful drama, Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students. Winner of the 2005 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award.

Speakeasy or Die Hard 2
February/March 2020
​Appearing in "Speakeasy or Die Hard 2" will be Shazad Mehta as Alphonse, who heads up his late father’s bootlegging empire. Donna Miller appears as Alphonse’s mother, and Kay Rower plays his girlfriend. Megan Promisco plays Carmen, Alphonse’s sister. Greg Winston and Jim Zervas play two of Alphonse’s henchmen. Rhys Read plays Big Louie, head of a rival operation. Other colorful characters in the show include Zelda and Scotty, a glamorous 1920s couple, played by Katie Lahey and Steven Higgins. Boris and Natashia, a pair of bumbling Russian spies, are played by Jerry Moore and Vicky Giannini. Carson Van Horn plays a talent agent, looking for new acts to promote. Regulars at the speakeasy are played by Grace Martinez, Marilyn Connolly, and Mayra Echevarria. Joe Schram plays Father Francis. Kate Troc and Heather Ristanovic play two nuns at the church. The evening’s MC announcer is Patrick Cramer.
The show is written and directed by Carolyn Thomas-Davidoff. The musical director is Vicky Giannini. Also working behind the scenes on the show are Alma Read, Becca Easley, Cheryl Turek, Chuck Erickson, David Soria, Debbie Proska, Erick Sosa, Gary Davidoff, Jim Ocasek, Lisa Miller, Megan Promisco, and Steven Soria.

 As you know this is GreenMan Theatre’s first ever virtual Variety Show - were semi-rookies. Wink, wink, nudge, nudge...
