Annual Murder Mystery - Murder on the DeLorean Express!

The doctor and Murty have been friends across time.  But when Murty's marriage is ending, the doctor realizes he's to blame and that he must travel back in time to Murty’s wedding to sever his friendship with Murty forever.  But changing the past results in ... MURDER!  Can the doctor rescue Murty's marriage?  If he does, will Murty lose his best friend forever?

Auditions are December 17th at 1:00pm and December 18th at 7:00pm at Greenman Theatre.  Auditions will be cold reads.  Those wishing to audition to sing in the show should be ready to sing The Power of Love to a karaoke track we will have available.   You may also choose to sing a 1980s ballad of your choice, painfully,  in your worst bad karaoke style.

Characters:

The Doctor --  Can be played by any gender.  White haired, highly emotive and impulsive but brilliant and kind.  The Doctor will be played by two actors because of time travel.

Old Murty --  Our hero in his 50s, lonely, depressed, on the verge of divorce.  He loves Jennifer and the doctor

Young Murty --  Cheerful, in love, trying to hold his wedding together in the face of time travel

Old Jenny --  Our heroine in her 50s, lonely, depressed, and losing her marriage

Young Jenny – Our heroine in a bridal gown, cheerful, hopeful, and trying to hold her wedding together in the face of time travel.

Murty’s Dad –  Ever optimistic science fiction writer

Murty’s Mom --  Spends much of the show sloshed and sings terrible karaoke during the wedding.

Jenny’s Dad Kenny --  Owner of a lawn mower store; Murty’s dad is his hero, but he’s too scared to talk to him.

Jennifer’s Mom Peggy – Spends much of the show thinking she took edibles when she didn’t.

Uncle Joey --  FINALLY out of prison, just in time for the wedding.  But he’s up to something sneaky.

Griff – A bully.  

Katrina – The bored wedding photographer with a secret.  Must be able to do a Russian accent

Lucy – Jennifer’s sister, and the maid of honor.  She’s silly… and stumbles onto a nefarious plot.

Huey Lewis – Actor must be able to sing in the range of Huey Lewis.
