​"History of Her: Women Who Shaped Chicagoland"

 August 8, 2026, Elmhurst History Museum, 2 p.m.

GreenMan Theatre Troupe actors have been doing a trio of biographical monologues of notable Chicago-area women as part of Elmhurst History Museum's "History of Her" exhibit.  The last of these performances will be done by GreenMan storyteller Victoria Rebeck as she portrays temperance proponent and suffragette Frances Willard on August 8.

Annual Storytelling Classes Scheduled for Aug. 1, 8 & 22

GreenMan's annual Storytelling class will be held on three Saturdays in August: August 1, 8 and 22. (There will be no class on the 15th.)  There will be an “Introduction to Storytelling” class in the mornings, and an “Advanced Storytelling” class in the afternoons.

​Auditions for "Graveside Stories" to Be Held Aug. 9 & 11 


​GreenMan Theatre Storytellers will hold auditions for its October 2026 performances of "Graveside Stories" at 2 p.m. on Sun., Aug. 9, 2026, and at 7 p.m. on Tues., Aug. 11, 2026, at St. Peters United Church of Christ in Elmhurst.

​Sneak Peek -- "Midnight and Moll Flanders"

This fall GreenMan Theatre Troupe will journey to the cutthroat, entrepreneurial world of 17th century England to meet Moll Flanders on the eve of her scheduled hanging. "Midnight and Moll Flanders" will revisit her life of survival and fortune as she attempts to charm, entertain and persuade a somber minister to give her a last chance at salvation.

Written by Marie Kohler, "Midnight and Moll Flanders" is an adaptation of Daniel Defoe’s classic novel. GreenMan Theatre will hold auditions mid-September. The play will be performed November 6 - 15 , 2026. Becca Easley will direct.
