The Tempest
GreenMan opens the 2022-2023 season with one of Shakespeare's late romances. The production opens September 16 for 3 weekends, closing October 2. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students/seniors. Performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm. "The Tempest" mixes comedy, magic, and a love story with more serious themes of loss, revenge, forgiveness and freedom. The tale centers on Prospero and his daughter, Miranda, living in isolation on a remote island. After he conjures a storm to shipwreck his enemies, Prospero must decide whether to forgive their past crimes. Complicating matters, he discovers that his daughter has fallen in love with one of the royal castaways. Shakespeare's play is filled with music, magic, and fantastical characters.
